Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted on the blog. So much has happened! Last April I received an acceptance letter to the American Film Institute Conservatory to attend the producing fellowship. So, I said hell yes! But, before leaving Texas, Amber and I decided we wanted to get married prior to school starting. So, we both said hell yes and got married on July 4th! We road-tripped through New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah on our way our to Los Angeles.
Being at AFI has kept me extremely busy. During the first-year I produced four short films (available at www.cineglitch.com/portfolio, password available on request). Over the summer I'll be producing two more. One is being made through AFI's Directing Workshop for Women meant to promote gender equality in Hollywood by providing education and career support to working female directors. Pretty cool I think.
Next year my focus is going to be on thesis. I'm producing one film and writing a second. They leave fundraising entirely up to us and I'm a little bit nervous about that. It will be challenging, but I'm extremely excited about the whole process.
